The
Association regards any local or international business
involved in the tourism sector and licensed to participate
in commercial activity in Ethiopia as a potential Member.
Membership is constituted of three tiers:
- General Assembly Members pay 2000 Birr initiation
fee plus 3000 Birr annual fee for membership. General
Assembly members have full voting privileges, retain
the highest decision-making authority of the EAE,
and can serve in any position on the Executive Board.
- Founding members, however, cannot serve on the Executive
Board. Membership is given to tour operators, accommodation
providers, service providers, and freelance guides
and is granted by the discretion of the Executive
Board.
- Associate Membership is available to organizations
with direct or indirect standing in the tourism sector
and assists in meeting the objectives of the Association.
Examples include NGOs, university students, community
groups, researchers, civil society, and other interested
parties. Associate Members may attend meetings but
have no voting privileges. Associate Members pay annual
administrative fee of 300 Birr
